Move2Impact: An Impactful Evening at the Heart of the Gare Maritime

What if an event venue could become much more than just a backdrop? With Move2Impact, Tour & Taxis hosted a unique activation where sports, commitment, and solidarity came together. For one evening, the site was transformed into a space for movement and purpose, demonstrating how an event venue in Brussels can become a true platform for social impact.

When sports become a driver of impact

Move2Impact was born from a simple idea: using sports as a lever to create tangible impact. More than 1,000 participants, divided into 205 teams from companies and organizations, took part in this first edition in early 2026. Together, they helped support 66 organizations, with over €140,000 donated directly to the participating causes.
Every euro raised went entirely to the supported organizations, reinforcing the initiative’s spirit of solidarity. Organized by Sport2Be, an organization dedicated to helping young people transition into the workforce, the event underscored that ESG is not limited to metrics but is also brought to life through concrete actions.

A unique route through the heart of the site

What made Move2Impact particularly memorable was the way the Tour & Taxis site was brought to life. The start and activities took place at the Gare Maritime
, the true beating heart of the event, while the course wound through the outdoor paths, ran alongside the park and ponds, and even led runners inside some of the site’s buildings.
This innovative format offered an immersive experience and highlighted the unique character of Tour & Taxis as an unconventional event venue in Brussels, capable of reinventing itself through various projects.

A demonstration of operational capacity

Hosting Move2Impact was also a concrete demonstration of the site’s logistical capabilities. Crowd management, security, start and finish areas, entertainment zones: everything was designed to ensure a large-scale event ran smoothly.
The Gare Maritime hosted the evening’s key moments: group warm-up, entertainment, and the awards ceremony, before participants extended the experience with food and drinks at the Food Market. Further proof that a corporate event venue today must be able to combine activation, experience, and conviviality all in one place.
